Stay Wires for Lesotho

The Stay Wire or Stay Strand or Guy Wire is made from steel, galvanized with zinc to prevent and reduce rusting from occurring. Commonly used in concrete utility pole, telephone poles, transmission lines poles, signal poles and railway track signals.
It is also commonly use as Earth Wire for Transmission Line towers and Large Scale Solar Farm Earthing Grid system.

Stay Wires
 are galvanized steel wire strands that are used for sustaining mechanical load. Generally they are made up of 6 wires stranded around 1 wire, twisting 7 wires together. A common use for stay wires is in the electricity industry, using the wire to stay power poles and tower structures. Stay wire is made in compliance with BS 183 or other customer specified specifications.

Material: The wire is cold drawn from steel and coated with zinc, the finish strand and the individual wires having uniform quality and have the properties and product characteristics as specified in technical specification.

For wiring installations, strands made of galvanized wires will be used. These wires can withstand the mechanical load. Stay wire manufacturers mainly deal in projects that are connected to electricity. These wires are used to "stay" power poles and tower structures, hence the name. These wires are often referred to as "guy wire".
If heavy equipment needs to be held steady in structures such as cell towers, utility equipment, or heavy construction sites, stay wires can be used. These situations can lead to the poles becoming bent or twisted due to the continuous load. The keep wire for an electric pole provides horizontal support for the long load.

+: The construction of this strand consists of six wires of 1.40 mm diameter on a centre wire of 1.50 mm diameter. The diameter of the centre wire shall not be less than 0.08 mm nor

more than 0.12 mm greater than the diameter of the outer wire.

Galvanised Steel Wire MARKING: As specified by the purchaser which is legibily stamped/written on a suitable tag security attached when galvanized stay strands are supplied in coil. In case of galvanized stay strands are supplied in reels, the informations are written on both side of the reels and suitably tag giving the same information be attached on the side of the reel.
Stay Wire PACKING:

The galvanized steel stay strand protected with paper/polythene/HDPE and outside wooden laggin on drum/reel.
