Breakout Fiber Optic Cable
Breakout Cable is essentially a collective group of simplex fibers bound and held together through a shared outer jacket; these simplex fibers have a jacket of their own, allowing them to be broken out to form individual strands. The significance of this design is that these simplex fibers can then be connected to an array of devices as a patch cord, for instance, while remaining enclosed as one until the breakout is necessary. Breakout Cable is generally larger than distribution fiber cable; the breakout design provides additional strength in numbers for ruggedized drops. Common applications include short plenum and riser runs as well as use in conduits.
The robust construction of Breakout Fiber Cables make them ideal for demanding environments, including conduits, junction boxes, patch panels and the factory floor. They offer all the ease of a 900 µm tight buffered termination with only one fiber per sub-unit. To support rugged applications, the connector and cable's aramid yarns are bonded together to provide unmatched strength and durability.

Specification 
Optical Fiber Break Out Cable takes the simplex optical cable as the basic unit, nonmetal as the strength member around which the sub cable is stranded, and the jacket is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or low smoke zero halogen flame-retardant polyolefin (LSZH).

Plenum Breakout Fiber Optic Cable
The Breakout Fiber Optic Cable, Multimode, 50/125 OM4, Indoor/Outdoor, Plenum is exceptional within airflow spaces. This cable type is in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC) Sections 770.179(b) for use in airducts, plenums, and general air-handling spaces. Direct termination is an available option, as time consuming fanout kits and pigtail splices are, therefore, unnecessary; connectors terminate directly onto the individual fibers. We offer this particular fiber optic cable in 2 to 48 strand variations. Plenum rated Breakout Fiber Optic Cable is resistant to sunlight, water, and other forms of natural decay.
 
Riser Breakout Fiber Optic Cable
The Breakout Fiber Optic Cable, Multimode, 50/125 OM3, Indoor/Outdoor, Riser is an ideal fit for floor to floor applications. This form of cable meets the National Fire Protection Association's designation of OFNR (Optical Fiber Nonconductive Riser) for vertical applications with certification providing the cable does not contain electrically conductive components, which could catch and/or spread fire throughout a building. This riser Breakout Fiber Optic Cable is available in 2 to 72 strand variants. Please note that, FNR cables are not rated for installation in plenum areas.
