ACSR Conductor Application
ACSR conductor (ACSR) is the concentrically stranded conductor used in overhead transmission lines. ACSR conductors are composed of one or more layers of drawn 1350-H19 aluminum wires, reinforced by galvanized steel wire or stranded galvanized steel conductors. To prevent corrosion, ACSR conductors use galvanized steel wire or conductors, in Class A galvanization, B o Class C. The grease is also applied to the central galvanized steel wire, o competitive drivers.
ACSR cable is widely used in electrical power transmission due to its high strength and conduction capacity.
ACSR Dog Conductor 100mm2 Features:
With simple structure, the aluminum conductor steel reinforced is easy to set up and maintain, with low cost and high transmission capacity. It is advantageous for this ACSR to be put up across a valley or river or under other various special geographic conditions. The ACSR has advantages of sound electrical conductivity, high mechanical strength, high tensile strength, etc, and the pole distance can be lengthened. It is used for power transmission lines with various voltage levels and plays an important role in the electricity transmission field.
ACSR Dog Conductor 100mm2 Construction
A “DOG” conductor is a ACSR (aluminum conductor steel reinforced) cable with nominal aluminum cross-sectional area of 100 mm². It has 6 aluminum strands of 4.72 mm diameter and 7 steel strands of 1.57 mm diameter. ACSR dog conductor has a long service record because of its economy, dependability, and strength to weight ratio. The combined light weight and high conductivity of aluminum with strength of the steel core enables higher tensions, less sag, and longer spans than any alternative.
