Covered Cables Semi-insulated Application
Medium Voltage Semi-insulated Cable is called cable semiaislado media tension in Spanish, it is widely used in Medium voltage overhead transmission and distribution lines and wooded areas.
Covered Cables Semi-insulated Construction
Conductor: Aluminum Conductor with Steel Core(ACSR), concentric stranded.
Optional: Copper, Aluminum1350-H19(AAC)and Aluminum alloy 6201-T81 (AAAC), concentric stranded.
Semiconductor: Conductor shielding in semiconductor cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE).
Inner layer: Cross-linked polyethylene compound (XLPE).
Outer layer: Cross-linked polyethylene compound (XLPE-TK) with abrasion, tracking and weather resistant.
Covered Cables Semi-insulated Feature

• Maximum operating voltage:15kV 25kV and 35kV
• Maximum operating temperature:90°C.
• Copper conductors are manufactured in hard temper.
• The aluminum conductors are manufactured with hard-tempered alloy 1350 (H19).
• ACSR conductors are manufactured with aluminum alloy 1 350 in hard temper (H19) and steel core.
• Insulation-black cover that makes it resistant to sunlight.
• Since these cables do not have an insulation screen, they are considered non-insulated, so they must be subject to the care and precautions of uninsulated cables.
