Aerial fiber optic cable is a fibre optic cable that is hung on a pole and is required to be able to adapt to various natural environments. Aerial optical fiber cables can be laid using the original overhead open line poles, saving construction costs and shortening the construction period. It is suitable for areas with flat terrain and small undulations. Aerial fiber optic cable is mainly hung under the steel strand and self-supporting between poles. Its laying method is through the pole hanging line bracket hanging or bundle (winding) erection.
 
Overhead Fiber Optic Cable Features
As we have known, there are hanging wire and self-supporting two types of overhead fiber optic cable.

	Hanging wire type 1. Fiber cable is fastened on the pole with a hanging wire 2. There are hooks to hang the optical cable on the hanging wire 3. The load of the optical cable is carried by the hanging wire
	Self-supporting type 1. Self-supporting structure of the optical cable makes it no need for hanging wire 2. Figure 8 fiber optic cable and ADSS fiber optic cable are the most common self-supporting fiber optic cable 3. The load of the optical cable is carried by the self-supporting fiber optic cable itself
